Impurity Begins Inside. Not Outside.
You are not made impure by what is around you.
You are made impure by what you allow into you.
Impurity is first internal, before it ever becomes external.
Yes, the world is full of filth.
Yes, your environment may be messy.
But nothing outside can corrupt you—
Until you permit it to enter.
Think of it this way:
You can live in a city full of chaos, and still carry peace—
unless you invite the noise into your soul. You can scroll through filth every day, and yet remain pure—
unless you begin to entertain, enjoy, and agree with it.You can be surrounded by ungodly influences—
but unless you adopt their values, their impurity can’t enter you.
“Guard your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life.”
(Proverbs 4:23, ESV)
Your mind.
Your thoughts.
Your affections.
These are the gatekeepers of your soul.
Be careful what you let into your private ecosystem.
You are the only one who can grant access.
Purity isn’t about isolation.
It’s about intentional filtration.
So guard your gates.
Because once impurity is inside, it takes root—and then shows up outside.
And by then, it’s not just exposure.
It’s erosion.
Stay clean—from the inside out.
